THE ALL NATURAL INGREDIENTS IN MR. WEEKENDER

Mr Weekender skincare is designed to be easy as to use - after all, you’d probably rather be out there adventuring than faffing about in front of the mirror. All you need to take care of your skin is a splash of water, a couple of minutes and a good attitude.

It may be easy to use but it’s not easy to make. We did our homework during 25 years of combined experience in skincare to source hardworking, natural ingredients that really make a difference.

Just in case you were wondering, here’s what’s in our moisturiser and our face wash.

MR. WEEKENDER FACE WASH

Use this first

When you’ve been out there going hard in the outdoors, a splash of water doesn’t cut it. Our face wash is designed to rid of any dirt, oil, salt, sweat and sunscreen to leave you sparkly clean. It’s also packed with ingredients to nourish and protect your face as well.

JOJOBA

Pronounced jow-juh-buh, this rare, oily substance is extracted from a cactus that grows in deserts on the American continent. It’s similar to the oil that your skin produces naturally so it almost never causes irritation and it’s super moisturizing. Seeya sun damage.

MANUKA

Manuka pretty much does everything. This nifty New Zealand native plant is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-allergenic and anti-inflammatory. It removes redness and keeps your skin looking shit hot.

TOTAROL

Totarol is extracted from the heart of the mighty Totara tree and is known as nature’s strongest antioxidant. That means it helps get rid of the nasty free radicals that cause aging and kill the bacteria that causes acne. No pimples, no wrinkles, no worries.

TEA TREE

If you’ve ever explored New Zealand’s native bush, you’ve probably run into a tea tree or two. We take the oil from their leaves and pop it in our face wash because it’s great at unblocking pores and keeping your skin looking clear.

BETAINE

Betaine is a naturally derived ingredient that hydrates your skin, soothes redness and helps keep away those wrinkles you get after long summer adventures.

MR. WEEKENDER MOISTURISER

Use this next

Surf, snow, sun and sand can damage your skin. Using a good moisturiser can stop that damage in its tracks and keep you looking good today - and 10 years from now.

HYALURONIC ACID

Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in your skin and holds 1,000 times its weight in water. It’s pretty much the reason your skin stays hydrated. But as you get older and you spend more summers under the sun, your skin stops producing as much. We chucked it in our moisturiser to top you up. You’re welcome mate.

MACADAMIA

Yes, we’re talking about the nut. These tasty little devils have stuff called lipids in them that your skin produces naturally to retain moisture and stay healthy. And just like hyaluronic acid, your skin stops producing it when you get older. But don’t worry, we got you - it’s in our moisturiser.

GALACTOARABINAN (GA)

No one in the universe knows how to pronounce galactoarabinan, so let’s call it GA to make our lives easier. This stuff is naturally derived from plants and helps accelerate renewal of your skin cells to keep you looking baby faced.

SELAGINELLA LEPIDOPHYLLA EXTRACT

This stuff gives galactoarabinan a run for its money as our most difficult to pronounce ingredient. It comes from a super tough plant which survives and retains moistures in the world’s hottest deserts. Recently, some smart guys in a lab found that it did the same thing for skin - keeping yours hydrated and healthy in the harshest conditions.

JOJOBA, BETAINE and TOTAROL

So nice we included it twice - this stuff’s all in our face wash too. Scroll up to see what it does.
